Quantifying Air Pollutant Emission from Agricultural Machinery Using Surveys—A Case Study in Anhui, China

نویسندگان

چکیده

Diesel-powered agricultural machinery (AM) is a significant contributor to air pollutant emissions, including nitrogen oxides (NOx) and particulate matter (PM). However, the fuel consumption emissions from AM remain poorly quantified in many countries due lack of accurate activity data factors. In this study, emission were estimated using survey factors literature. A case study was conducted collected Anhui, one provinces China. The annual active hours Anhui ranged 130 175 h. diesel by 1.45 Tg 2013, approximately 25% total province. pollutants emitted 57 Gg carbon monoxide, 14 hydrocarbon, 74 NOx 5.7 PM 2013. equivalent 17% 22% on-road traffic Anhui. Among nine types considered, rural vehicles are largest contributors (31%) (33–45%).

Maternal care in rural China: a case study from Anhui province

BACKGROUND Studies on prenatal care in China have focused on the timing and frequency of prenatal care and relatively little information can be found on how maternal care has been organized and funded or on the actual content of the visits, especially in the less developed rural areas. This study explored maternal care in a rural county from Anhui province in terms of care organization, provisi...

Decomposition Analysis of the Factors that Influence Energy Related Air Pollutant Emission Changes in China Using the SDA Method

We decompose factors affecting China’s energy-related air pollutant (NOx, PM2.5, and SO2) emission changes into different effects using structural decomposition analysis (SDA). We find that, from 2005 to 2012, investment increased NOx, PM2.5, and SO2 emissions by 14.04, 7.82 and 15.59 Mt respectively, and consumption increased these emissions by 11.09, 7.98, and 12.09 Mt respectively. Impact of H2S Content and Excess Air on Pollutant Emission in Sour Gas Flares

In sour gas flares,  content like any other components in inlet gas influences adiabatic flame temperature, which, in turn, impacts on the pollutant emission. Wherever flame temperature increases, the endothermic reaction between  and  is accelerated, which means higher  emission to the atmosphere. In this work, we developed an in-house MATLAB code to provide an environment for combustion calcu...

Quantifying Air and GHG Emission Reductions from Clean Energy Measures

Basic approaches typically include spreadsheet-based analyses that use emissions factor relationships or other assumptions to estimate reductions. Sophisticated approaches are usually more complex and involve dynamic electricity or energy system representations that predict energy generation responses to policies and calculate the effects on emissions.* 4.2.2 QUANTIFY AIR AND GHG EMISSION REDUC...
